Limestone is a sedimentary rock mostly composed of calcium carbonate. Limestone is ordinarily white in color, however, impurities and exposure to iron oxide can change its appearance. Limestone is a very unique stone that is primarily of marine origin. Both plants and animals help contribute to the formation of this stone from their mineral excretions such as corals, worms and mollusks. Limestone with the proper treatment can be used for any applications; floors, countertops, bathrooms, and walls.
