Slate is a fine-grained metamorphic rock that splits easily into thin, flat surfaced layers or slabs. Slate has a number of uses to accent any project whether it be outdoor or indoor. The most common applications of this tile are floor, roof, and walls. Slate was formed from materials of fine clay, sand and volcanic dust. The difference in color and layering of these elements produce a unique and beautiful color palette.
